Settings and your data

Manage passkeys, change the theme, see what is new, export your data and delete your profile.

To open Settings, select it at the bottom of the menu on the left. On a phone, select the gear icon at the top of the page. Help, next to it, opens this guide.

Manage passkeys

A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face or screen lock instead of an email link.

• To add one, under Passkeys, select Add a passkey and follow the steps of your device.
• To remove one, select Remove next to it. Then also delete it from your device or password manager.

Change the theme

1. Under Theme, select Light, Dark or System. System uses the setting of your device.
2. Select Save theme.

Currencies and import

• Display currency and Exchange rates: see Currencies and estimates.
• Category rules and Import mappings: see Let rules pick categories.

See what is new

After an update, the app shows What’s new one time when you open it. To read it again, go to Settings. Under App version, select What’s new.

Export your data

Under Export data, select a format:

• Download JSON: everything in your budget, with exact amounts and the history of every change. Use it to keep a full copy.
• Download CSV: your current transactions, one row for each account, for a spreadsheet.

Export is always available. Download a copy before you delete your profile.

Privacy

The app has no ads and no trackers. It uses your data only to run your budget. The privacy page tells you what the app keeps and for how long.

Delete your profile

1. Optional: export your data first.
2. Go to Settings, and select Delete profile and data.
3. Type delete to confirm.
4. Select Delete everything.

The app deletes your accounts, transactions, categories, imports and history, and removes your passkeys, and signs you out on all devices. If you sign in again, you get a new, empty profile.
